I have a full beard, and sometimes I don’t want to use clippers just to thin things down a little. I saw these and thought I’d give them a try. They do not disappoint. The steel is high quality and very sharp. I like the plastic-rubber rings, as they make the scissors more comfortable on the fingers during prolonged use. These aren’t $100+ Japanese-quality shears, but they are very good for the price point. The set comes with a leather sheath, a cloth for wiping them down, and a nice case, making it a great gift for any barber enthusiast. You’ll want to use these with a comb of some sort. But be careful, they are very sharp, so keep them away from your skin. I would recommend them.

I'm a DIY hair stylist and my own client, and I have a few other thinning shears of lesser quality that are made from punched metal compared to these. These seem laser-cut, with a finely sharpened edge, and the curve between the teeth is nice for accommodating the bend in hair that might occur during cutting. I appreciate the inclusion of the PU holder for protection when not in use, as well as the light suede-like cloth to keep them shiny. There's also a little adjuster, two silicone-covered screws, and guards for the finger holes if needed. I chose to use them without the guards, as they're quite comfortable in hand. They have a nice, sharp edge and a satisfying bounce when they close. The only issue I encountered was after the first use; it seemed like one of the teeth might have bent slightly, causing it not to close completely. It didn't look bent, but it stopped at a certain point when closing, and the burr caught on the straight blade just a bit. Running a sharpener over both sides seemed to fix it for now. I'm not sure if my hair is too thick or if I took too large a section to thin out, but just be aware that you might need to sharpen an edge occasionally. Regardless, they're nice and far superior to the mediocre thinning scissors I have. They don't catch, they glide smoothly, and they work well.
