These are soo incredibly sharp. I got this for home use and not in a professional setting, although these are most definitely professional quality (i.e. to be handled by someone that knows how to use these). I accidentally grazed and nicked my fingers a few times since I'm use to the cheap quality hair scissors I got from daiso that aren't super sharp to begin with. Don't be me and be careful and more mindful when handing these for haircuts. These make cutting a breeze, no hair slipping just a clean and crisp cut. The kit also came with a few extras and a protective case for the shears which was nice. I think these are also ambidextrous as it works well in my right hand and my partner was able to trim their beard with their left very easily. Overall impressive quality for the price.

These are actually pretty good scissors. I work with parachute material and when an edge of fabric frays it is nothing but ultra thin, wispy fibers. This pair of scissors trims that stuff off easy-peasy. I like the fact that the hinge bolt has positive stops when tightening the blades. It won't back out or tighten up while using them. I am not a barber or hair stylist but I feel I am a pretty good judge of shears and scissors. These work well for what I do. I don't see why they wouldn't cut hair as that is much more coarse than the stuff I use them on.
